Riverside Energy Michigan
Riverside Energy Michigan holds working interests in 7,000 wells and operates 5,600 wells across northern Michigan. Daily sales total 85 net Mmcf natural gas produced from the Antrim Shale. Riverside also holds over 650,000 Antrim formation company acres and over 300,000 company acres of deep rights in Michigan.
The mature Antrim Shale biogenic play has proven to be a reliable, low decline, asset base. Much of the development of this shale-gas play was carried out by MichCon in the 1990s and early 2000s. The MichCon assets were sold to Atlas in 2007 and later acquired by Chevron in 2011. In 2016, a newly formed company owned by White Deer Energy and Umbono Capital purchased Chevron Michigan, LLC from Chevron Northeast Upstream, LLC and renamed it Riverside Energy Michigan, LLC. Through the acquisition of numerous other Antrim operators since 2016 including Riviera Resources, Inc. and Breitburn Operating, Inc, Riverside has grown to become the number one producer of natural gas in the state.
The Riverside Energy Group is excited about the opportunity to nurture these valuable assets, to pursue similar opportunities in the Antrim Shale play and to have a positive impact in northern Michigan.
